Location: Hybrid, with minimum 2 days/wk in Concord, NH; 1 day/wk in Portsmouth, NH

About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Business Administrator who combines exceptional organizational skills with a passion for public service and cybersecurity awareness. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating efficient systems, supporting team members, and ensuring our organization operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. You’ll be the organizational linchpin connecting HR, legal, accounting, and administrative functions—bringing order, compliance, and care to everything you touch
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership
Oversee daily business operations and administrative functions
Develop and implement efficient organizational systems and processes
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
Maintain detailed records and documentation across all business functions
Assist in managing business licenses, insurance documentation, vendor relationships, and internal recordkeeping
HR Administration
Manage employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
Coordinate performance review processes and professional development initiatives
Handle employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism
Support recruitment efforts and maintain HR policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Act as a resource to staff members on administrative and HR-related matters, fostering a well-supported and informed workplace.
Cross-Functional Liaison
Serve as primary point of contact between internal teams and external accounting firm
Coordinate with legal counsel on contracts, compliance matters, and risk management
Manage vendor relationships and service agreements
Ideal Candidate
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in business administration or similar role
Strong understanding of HR practices
Experience working with accounting and legal professionals
Proficiency in business software systems, including Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, DocuSign, Gusto, 1Pass, Microsoft Office/SharePoint and Google Suite
Familiarity with cybersecurity or government-adjacent work is a plus
